Qi Gong Series - April 19-May 31, 9:00-10:15 am

Alison Born will begin a 6-week Qi Gong series (May 10th no class) in the Fellowship Hall or out back, weather permitting.  The last 15 minutes of each class has an optional guided meditation.  (The cost is $60/series or $12 drop-in.)

Certified Qi Gong instructor and licensed acupuncturist, Alison Born, has been teaching classes in the area since 2006 at a wide variety of indoor and outdoor settings. She learned  Sheng Zhen Wuji Yuan Gong, “Qi Gong of Unconditional Love” or “Qi Gong of Universal Oneness” from its creator, Master Li Jun Feng. Its basic premise is that of opening your heart, mind and the channels in your body to connect with the universal Qi of nature – “being one with the flow of all”, so to speak. For more information about Sheng Zhen qi gong or Master Li, please visit:

For this series, Alison will teach the "Heaven and Nature Gong" series (aka "Kuan Yin Standing Qi Gong"). It is comprised of 10 movements, some of which are performed once, while others are practiced multiple times. The movements have poetic names such as, “Lotus Blossom going through the Mountain," and contemplations that are paired with each movement. Alison also plans to teach the 6 healing sounds for organ revitalization. All experience and fitness levels are welcome. If you have any questions or would like to register, please contact Allison at 352-4555 or

Ongoing Classes and Programs

Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. Join us for prayer and meditation as we settle down for a brief mid-week break.  Afterwards, Oneness Blessings will be offered.  Everyone is welcome to join us.  Remember, when we take time to stop, calm and rest in the Spirit, we do it not just for ourselves, but for the benefit of all beings!

Going Deeper

Curious Minds - A Spiritual Study Group

Sundays, 2:00 pm
“The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing.”    --Albert Einstein
Like meditation, real spiritual study is often more effective in a supportive setting--in a group of like-minded seekers. We are a collection of interested, curious souls who intend to encounter and explore authentic spirituality.  Our primary goal is to assimilate spiritual concepts and learn to apply them to our everyday lives. Within the group we are free to express (or not) our own appeal to spiritual processes.
Join Jill Lahnstein and Rhonda Limoges on Sundays at 2 pm to study and discuss sacred texts, spiritual poetry, new ideas, and empowering thought--in an open, welcoming environment.
A Return to Love by Marianne Williamson
Beginning March 12  - Introduction to the Book and Co-Creating a Reading Plan
Considered a modern spiritual classic in many circles, this book is the author’s understanding of and dialogue with the spiritual concepts contained in A Course in Miracles.  There is no need to be familiar with the Course to make meaning with this text because this book is about love.   Williamson writes:
“Love is what we were born with. Fear is what we have learned here.  The spiritual journey is the relinquishment--or unlearning of fear and the acceptance of love back into our hearts. Love is the essential existential fact. It is our ultimate reality and our purpose on Earth.  To be consciously aware of it, to experience love in ourselves and others, is the meaning of life.”
A Course in Miracles

Sundays and Wednesdays, 7:00 -8:30 p.m. A Course In Miracles teaches a thought system – a way of seeing and understanding—based on love and oneness with Spirit and with each other, as contrasted with the thought system the world teaches which is based on fear and separation. The Course shows how our human (or ego) minds resists these ideas because of our attachment to our separate bodies.

The group meets on Sunday evenings  in the parlor and in the Uniteen room on Wednesdays. We read the text together and discuss the material. We welcome you to visit to see if this is for you. The book also includes a workbook section made up of daily lessons. For more information contact Kate Martin.
