Rev. Russell Heiland
Russell became Senior Minister of Unity Christ Church of Wilmington in June of 2005. Prior to that time he served as Associate Minister and Co-Minister with Rev. Paré. Russell earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from Miami University, Oxford, OH in 1988 and a Master of Arts in Liberal Studies from the University of North Carolina, Wilmington in 2007.  His thesis was entitled "Inner Vision and Synchronicity:  Dream Work as Taught by Charles Fillmore and Carl Jung."  He received his ordination from the Association of Unity Churches International through the Field Licensing Program in 2007.  He currently serves as co-chair of the Association of Unity Churches International's Campus Ministry Team.  He and his partner Anthony have two dogs.

Rev. René Paré
Rev. René Paré and his wife Marie began the ministry here in Wilmington as a study group in early 1976. After a year or so, René moved his family to Unity Village, MO and began his study for the ministry. Ordained in 1979, he then served Unity churches in Orlando and San Diego before returning in 1985 to take over the leadership of Unity Christ Church of Wilmington. It was begun in a small house located on the present location in June of that year with 18 people in attendance. In 1997, Marie retired as Associate Minister to pursue a career as a full-time artist. René continued to serve as Senior Minister and later as Co-Minister with Rev. Heiland. He became Minister Emeritus in June 2005.
