Welcome to Youth and Family Ministry at Unity of Wilmington! Our youth and family programs honor each child and family as an expression of the Divine. We instill in our children the Truth that they are magnificent, holy children of God, just the way they are. Each Sunday our children and teens explore Unity principles and teachings in a fun, engaging, safe and interactive environment.
From our Youth Education Director Marie Chonko!
For the Summer months we are claring our space to make room for all the new and exciting things about to happen at Unity of Wilmington. We are employing the power of Divine Order through sacred service!
Our intention for the program is to co-create an experience for our children that fills them with excitement and joy.
We have a need for Sunday School teachers and helpers. Please come and talk to me if you are interested in serving in this capacity.
Each classroom is staffed by a team of loving and dedicated volunteers who enthusias-tically guide our youth through their own personal discovery of their relationship with God. What a powerful impact we can have on their lives! In a typical week after checking your children in with Marie, they spend ten minutes in the Sunday service with the adults. Moving into the classrooms, our lessons then become age specific. Prior to the end of each service, the children and teens join the adults in the Sanctuary for a special blessing acknowledging their contributions to our spiritual family, followed by the Peace Song and the Prayer for Protection. See how our classes are organized.
Support our Youth!
Our Youth and Family Ministry is mostly self supporting and as such, we always welcome any financial support to help our Uniteens and Y.O.U. travel to their off-campus events as well as the purchase Unity curriculum and learning supplies.
Two Annual Events! The scrumptious Pancake Breakfast in the Fall and the Red Hot Chili Cook-off in the Spring. Yum!
“I am constantly amazed by the depth of spiritual understanding our youth share with me and am thankful for the opportunity to a part of their empowerment.” Rev. Mindy Tucker
