Welcome to Youth and Family Ministry at Unity of Wilmington! When we re-open, we will offer a Children's Program at 11:00 am on Sundays, and nursery childcare at both the 9:00 and 11:00 am services.
|Youth and Family Ministries Present:
Unity’s 5 Principles
Over the next few weeks, our youth and family ministry will be exploring the Five Unity Principles.
We will be following a book called “The Five Come Alive.”
The third Unity principle in adult speak is
“We are mindful co-creators with God.”
Check out this video to explore the youth version.
"Our children are sacred. Our role as caretakers of their spiritual growth is sacred. We can consciously commit to deepening our support of youth ministry within our church families. We can open our hearts and church doors to wider communities, sharing our vision and our positive beliefs. Let us join together as a Unity family and clearly answer Myrtle Fillmore's call, "Who will take care of the children?" ~Robin Clark
Our single-room classroom is staffed by a team of loving and dedicated volunteers who enthusiastically guide our youth through their own personal discovery of their relationship with God. What a powerful impact we can have on their lives! In a typical week after checking in your children, they spend 40 minutes with loving volunteer teachers. Prior to the end of each service, the children join the adults in the Sanctuary for a special blessing acknowledging their contributions to our spiritual family, followed by the Peace Song and the Prayer for Protection.
Our vision for Youth and Family Ministry is to have a fully developed program spanning ages 0-18 years-old which teaches Unity Principles through age-appropriate curriculum, activites and service.
“I am constantly amazed by the depth of spiritual understanding our youth share with me and am thankful for the opportunity to a part of their empowerment.” Rev. Mindy Tucker
