Momentum with Meaning.
Momentum is powerful—but on its own, it’s not enough. The question is not just Are we moving? but Where is that movement taking us—and why?
Palm Sunday reminds us of a sacred kind of momentum.
As Jesus entered Jerusalem, there was energy, celebration, and forward movement. Crowds gathered. Palms were waved. There was a sense that something meaningful was unfolding. But beneath the celebration was something deeper—intentional, courageous, spiritually aligned movement toward purpose.
This wasn’t accidental momentum. It was chosen.
In our own lives, we often build momentum by staying busy, checking boxes, and pushing forward.
But Palm Sunday invites us to pause and ask:
Is my momentum aligned with my deeper purpose? Am I moving with intention—or just moving?
Spiritual momentum requires both courage and clarity. It asks us to keep moving forward, even when the path isn’t easy. Even when we don’t have all the answers. Even when the journey calls us to grow.
As we close our month of Momentum, this is the invitation:
Move forward—but move with meaning.
Take action—but stay aligned with Truth.
Build momentum—but let it be guided by Spirit.
Because when momentum is aligned with purpose, it doesn’t just move your life forward—it transforms it.
Spiritual Practice:
Before making a decision this week, pause and ask:
Does this move me closer to who I am called to be?
Reflection Questions:
What would it look like to move forward with both courage and spiritual intention?
Affirmation:
I move forward with courage and clarity, guided by Spirit and grounded in purpose.
Warmly, Rev. Ellen
