Candlelighting Service
Our Unity community will be celebrating a unique and cherished tradition on the Wednesday before Christmas. We will be devoting ourselves to renewing the Light of God within us. The dynamic Presence of Spirit has created our own true nature, which replicates characteristics of God. These innate, divine capabilities that God shares with us are our Twelve Powers.
During the Candlelighting Service, we will light twelve colorful candles, one for each of these Powers. A large white candle will represent the light of the living Christ of God in our world. As the ceremony continues, we will light our own small candles from one of the Twelve, the Power that we will strive to express throughout the coming year.
