I'm New Here!
If you are looking for a spiritual community of loving people, you have come to the right place. Our community is made up of people, like yourself, who have been led to Unity by Spirit. We are all here because we’re on a spiritual journey to become all that we were created to be.
We are a Unity community of people who believe that we are created in the image of and likeness of God. God is Radiant Health, and so are we. God is Strength, and so are we. God is full of Forgiveness, and so are we. In Oneness, we are whole.
There is a proverb attributed to the Prophet Mohammed which states, “Trust in God, but tie up your camel.” That is exactly what we’re inviting you to do at Unity of Wilmington. We are affirming perfect health AND implementing policies to assure the optimal health and well-being of our spiritual community. All programs and classes have been suspended as we have temporarily closed the building.
What are your Sunday services like?
It’s a soul celebration every week –uplifting music, meditation, and Ancient Wisdom-New Thought messages. The lessons are practical and relevant. The music is contemporary and diverse. The meditations are deep. The service lasts a little over one hour, and is usually very energetic in nature.
Services are Sunday 9:00 am and 11:00 am. While the building is closed you may watch our Facebook Live service on Sundays at 11:00 am - look in our Facebook Video archive.
The dress code is simple: Come in whatever you are most comfortable. Some arrive in their Sunday best, others in shorts and flip-flops. The most important thing is that you feel comfortable!
Parking is available in the neighborhood and the adjacent lot on the Wrightsville Avenue side of the property.
Hospitality time takes place in the Community Room following each service, along with fellowship and discussion about different ways to participate in Unity of Wilmington activities.
What will happen when I visit for the first time?
First and foremost, we will not embarrass you. We understand that some like to remain anonymous and just observe. Come in and see if this is the community for you.
For some it is not. For others, they often say “From the moment I walked through the door, I knew that I finally found home.” You will be asked to raise your hand if you are here for the first time and you will receive a welcome packet with literature and information about us. We are here to support you as much or as little as you would like.
We invite you to join us after the service for coffee and light refreshments. Here you’ll have a chance to meet others, ask questions, and pick up materials about upcoming events and ongoing activities within our spiritual community. If you are present on the first Sunday of the month, we will be celebrating all those who have a birthday in that month with cupcakes. Yum!
What about children?
Children enjoy themselves here. We are dedicated to providing a safe, positive spiritual based experience. Our Youth and Family Ministry is committed to sacred safety and staffed with volunteers who have all completed background checks.
Where are you located?
Our spiritual community is located at 717 Orchard Avenue Wilmington NC 28403.
When we reopen, we expect to have two services every Sunday at 9:00 am and 11:00 am.
