The discomfort you resist is often what renews you
We love the idea of renewal…
but we don’t always love the process that gets us there.
Because sometimes renewal doesn’t feel like sunshine.
Sometimes it feels like:
- uncertainty
- emotional heaviness
- endings we didn’t plan
- growth we didn’t ask for
In other words… April showers.
Reframing the Rain
We’ve been taught to see these moments as interruptions.
But what if they’re actually initiations?
Rain doesn’t ruin growth.
It creates it.
Without it, nothing new can take root.
So the question isn’t:
“Why is this happening to me?”
A better question is:
“What is this growing in me?”
The Spiritual Truth
In Unity, we trust that there is a divine intelligence at work—even in the messy middle.
Even in the unknown.
Even in the uncomfortable.
Especially there.
The rain is not a detour.
It’s part of the design.
This Week’s Invitation
The next time something feels heavy or inconvenient, pause and ask:
- What might this be clearing?
- What new growth could this be preparing me for?
You don’t have to enjoy the rain.
But you can learn to trust it.
Affirmation
I trust the process of my growth as the rain is nurturing something new within me.
